The Bone Goddess has no name of her own, only the titles given to her by others, she is also known as the Bone Mother. She is a goddess who embodies both life and death without either one being her specific domain.
She is the facilitator of the cycle of life and death: As one creature dies, it allows another to live, and that which lives requires others to die. But whilst she deals with death, the Bone Mother is not a cruel or sadistic deity. Her task is to make sure that the death is not wasted and that all organisms die in their time and will be beneficial to those still living.
As her existence is to cater to the balance, she abhors waste. She can be vindictive and vengeful towards those who do and despises wars and poachers with ferocious intensity. Being a goddess of both death and life, she has the power to bring former inhabitants back to their bodies. She has when enraged, raised armies of the dead and led them with devastating effect against humans in retribution for their pointless waste and constant destruction of the cycle.
The Bone Goddess has an affinity towards crows, vultures and other scavengers of the cycle.
More Ballpoint (biro) work!
She is A3 size and completely done in biro on watercolour paper. No photoshop except lightness/contrast balancing due to a washed out scan.
I did this at the studio a few months ago, and need to buy a frame to put her on the wall in. If anyone is interested I may be selling prints (unwatermarked) and the original is also up for sale, so you should note me!
The skeleton bird is a griffon vulture.
Will edit the story to make more sense later when I get my awesome writer friend to help me with the making of the sentences.
Ballpoint... ballpoint? You did THAT in BALLPOINT!?
My God, your house is inhabited by over-skillfull artistic freaks.
Seriously, incredible work. I particularly love the light, skeletal markings on her, just the way they seem to glow.
